Oh, Jiz! If there were but world enough and time: The Lusty Lady! The Roxie! Pink and White Productions! NakedSword! The Garden of Eden! Folsom Street Fair! The Hungry Hole! The Nob Hill Theater -- not to mention Violet Blue! Jiz Lee! It was such a struggle to narrow it down.

I tried to give a broad overview, and touch on as many as possible, but such a list is by its very nature lacking. Hopefully, this is just the start of a long and fruitful resurrection of San Francisco's underbelly!

I also highly recommend taking advantage of touring the armory. The architecture is absolutely outstanding, the history is fun and you might get a chance to peep a set.

Michael, LOVE this! How do I get a copy of the poster for the Center for Sex & Culture archive? Will you come screen your film for us someday? (Our new location at Mission and Grace Alley was all set to be a porn theatre in 1973, but it's a wooden bldg so the Fire Dept kaiboshed it.)
