I live in SOMA and the street sweepers wake me up 5 nights out of the week between 2am-5am. Yikes! Do the streets need to be cleaned THAT OFTEN?

Neighbors used to leave early and park their (barking) dogs out on the deck for the day. The deck that was parallel with my bedroom. Grrr...

Waking up to the sound of elementary school children playing and screaming can be refreshing if caught on the right side of the bed..

My bedroom faces the street, and all of the above apply. I can't decide who drives me crazier: the bottle collectors or the drunks. Also: everlasting car alarms (in my neighborhood, what's the point?).

Tried to alleviate with: lullabies, thermal curtains, ear plugs, and Ambien.

I live and love living in the Lower Haight. Except when Premier League soccer is going hard and I have had a late night at work.

I used to live right underneath a hardcore gay porn film-making studio in the Castro. They too had wild coke parties. Yeah.

WAIT. What about the crazy crackheads who shout nonsensical obscenities? Or is that just my neighborhood. :(

I live in the "TenderNob" and I'm often awake to the sound of lovely ladies or gentlemen that look like ladies fighting over a corner. Nothing better than "OH HELL NO!You move over" and "LET GO OF MY WEAVE B!@#$!!!" at 2am.

And this is why I love living in the Outer Sunset. I mean, the Outer Fogset.
