Jesse Pollock is the editor at Unpiano, a dynamic enterprise that's one part independent arts book publisher and one part music resource. For some years now, Jesse has been part of the local arts community, working at places like Fecal Face Dot Com and Hamburger Eyes, and is an avid photographer himself (some of his photos are up on Unpiano's gallery). Though he's got the seasoned sensibility of someone whose been around the block, he's also always on the look-out, watching the horizon for what's new and noteworthy in music and the arts. These days he's been listening to a lot of stripped-down, somewhat bleak songs that go well with the cold temperatures and dwindling light of winter.
