Fabric8 and guest curator Erik Otto are pleased to present All That Remains, a group exhibition of works by artists Ryan Bubnis, Treasure Frey, Jeff Hantman, Robert Moya, and Allie Zee.

Focusing on “humble materials, big ideas”, All That Remains features artists who use recycled and reclaimed materials in their work. Curator and artist Erik Otto created the roster considering peers whose work inspires his own use of such materials.

Ryan Bubnis has clean yet chaotic paintings, installations, and design work that have been described as “urban folk.” Working intuitively, he incorporates a range of mediums and draws inspiration from life, graffiti, Saturday morning cartoons, and outsider art from diverse cultures. He received a BFA in Illustration from Pacific Northwest College of Art, where he now teaches.

Treasure Frey is a Los Angeles-based artist who communicates thoughts and relationships abstractly. She has traveled around the world and lived on both U.S. coasts, having earned a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Jeff Hantman is a mixed media artist with a studio/woodshop full of weathered objects and plywood scraps with old dry cracking paint. He received a BFA in printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design and has since evolved his techniques through artist residencies and fellowships.

Roberty Moya is an interdisciplinary artist and educator whose practice consists of making sculptural abstract paintings. His love of travel has inspired and informed his work. He holds a BA from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque and an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute.

Allie Zee is a San Francisco-based artist who illuminates her many disciplines – installation, display design, sculpture, and construction. She is inspired by the juxtaposition of natural elements and man-made materials working together to tell a story.

Curator Erik Otto, a veteran of SF Recology's artist-in-residence program, will simultaneously be exhibiting a public art installation at the Parklet Gallery in front of Fabric8. Commissioned by the gallery for a six-month exhibit, it will be the first parklet of its kind.

All That Remains will be on exhibit from September 9 through October 10 at fabric8, 3318 22nd Street near Valencia in San Francisco, and open 7 days a week.

The opening reception will be held on Saturday, September 10, from 7PM until 10PM.
