SaveABunny

SaveABunny is a nonprofit, volunteer-oriented animal rescue organization based in Mill Valley, California. Formerly operating as the San Francisco/Marin chapter of the House Rabbit Society, SaveABunny left House Rabbit Society in 2006 to offer a “new generation” of rabbit rescue.

SaveABunny proudly integrates the urgency, passion and dedication of front line animal rescue work with the grounded professionalism and expertise of highly skilled volunteers--- many of whom are leaders in their businesses and communities.
SaveABunny works with area shelters

SaveABunny was founded in 1999 following the rescue of a neglected stray rabbit,and has grown into an award-winning no-kill shelter and foster center. We are recognized as a leader in rabbit rescue efforts, as well as a model for building effective partnerships with animal shelters and community groups, such as the Girl Scouts.

SaveABunny rescues and assists Northern California shelters to adopt more than 300 domestic rabbits per year. We are funded primarily through donations and grants, and secondarily through adoption fees and specialty services, such as boarding, rabbit grooming, and limited merchandise sales.
