San Francisco’s Most Dangerous Restaurants

About a year ago, we published an article highlighting some of the lowest-scoring restaurants in San Francisco on the basis of health scores. Now, using the publicly available data from the SF OpenData project — a free repository for civic data on the city of San Francisco — we’re updating the article and focusing on restaurants whose most recent health scores were released in 2016.
The table below highlights our results, cross-referenced with Yelp ratings:

The standouts on this list are beloved B Star and the ever-popular Marina brunch restaurant Home Plate. You’ll be hard-pressed to find an evening when there isn’t a significant pour-over crowd from Burma Superstar into B Star.

In all fairness to these restaurants, they are (probably) aware of these violations and will have an opportunity to correct them. In the meantime, you can make up your own mind.
